SM&A was recently awarded a competitive contract to provide EVMS consulting services in support of the Hanford Vitrification Plant project in Washington State ...
Also called the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP), the project is a 65-acre complex being built to “vitrify” DOE’s Hanford Site tank waste by blending it with molten glass and placing it in stainless steel canisters. Started in 2001, the project is expected to be completed in 2019.
